Portland Aerial Tram is located at 3303 SW Bond Ave, Portland, OR 97239 --the most transportation-diverse intersection in the nation. You'll marvel at the modes people use to access the Tram.

Don't want to worry about traffic and parking congestion? Plan a trip by streetcar, light rail, or bus here.

Looking to avoid the line? Weekends are a great time to beat the crowds. The recommended weekday visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Streetcar

NS Line stops in front of the lower tram terminal (Stop 12760) . Northbound departures are at SW Whitaker and Bond. (Stop 12883). For all other streetcars, ride to SW Moody and Meade and then walk south along Moody Ave. Plan a trip by streetcar.

Light Rail (TriMet MAX)

TriMet Orange Line travels from Milwaukie, Oregon to South Waterfront (Stop 13728). TriMet Yellow Line travels from North Portland, through the downtown transit mall (becoming the Orange Line) to South Waterfront (Stop 13711). Deboard at the west end of Tilikum Crossing.

Bus

TriMet lines 35 and 36 (Stop 13182) drop off at Moody and Gibbs. Lines 9 and 17 stop at the west end of Tilikum Crossing (Stop 13733 from the east; Stop 13732 from downtown). Lines 1, 12, 19, 44 and 43 are accessible via Gibbs Street Pedestrian Bridge.

Car

South Waterfront is a growing central neighborhood with limited access streets. Traffic and parking can become congested. To visit by car, we recommend traveling during off-peak hours or the weekend. The Orange and Yellow Light Rail lines are the most effective way to avoid traffic and parking hassles. Plan a trip by car.

Car parking: On-street metered parking is available just south of the Tram.

Biking

The Tram is Portland's most popular biking destination and connected by several off-street paths. Don't have a bike? Biketown, Portland's city bike share, has a station right at the terminal.  Plan a trip by bike.

Bike parking: Bike valet at the Tram is free to the public via Go By Bike 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. U-locks are recommended anywhere outside the valet.

On shared paths, we advise biking slowly and audibly when passing people walking. When walking, be aware of shared bike paths and keep children and animals close.

Walking

The Tram is just one mile from downtown Portland and connected by several off-street paths including Tilikum Crossing. Plan a walking trip.
